Find Specific Calls and Call IDs

You’ll find all fax transmissions (that reach T38Fax) in the Reports -> Transactions section:

You can locate all transmissions sent or received during a chosen time window using the “Start date” and “End date” fields. To look for specific calls, use the calling party or called party’s fax numbers, without hyphens, in the “Search” box. Combine the start and end time filters with a specific search string to be even more specific.

Once you’ve located a call of interest, click on that row to reveal that transmission’s details. The “Session ID” is that call’s specific and unique identifier.

Our support team uses Session IDs to identify the call (or calls) you’re discussing with them, so please take note of this and include Session ID(s) with your initial problem report whenever possible.

Please note, the “Exclude calls that failed to connect” check box is only referring to calls (not faxes) that failed to connect to the other party. For example, numbers that are not in service, not answered, or busy. Success or failure here is measured only at the lowest (call) level—if two fax machines begin speaking to one another but the fax fails to complete, those calls will be shown here as having connected successfully.
